Anyone interested in the economic development of the State of Missouri may join MEDC, based on the following membership levels:

members who spend the majority of their time on direct economic development activities. This is a voting and electable category, “based on population”. If your organization has a statewide focus, you will fall in the largest population category.

  • Population of 0-24,999: $175.00
  • Population of 25,000 to 99,999: $200.00
  • Population of 100,000 & up: $225.00

organizations, corporations and sole proprietorships who actively market their product or service to members. One designated representative per corporate membership. This is a voting and electable category.

community volunteers, elected officials and members of local or regional economic development boards as well as retired economic developers who are no longer receiving compensation for work in the economic development field. This is a non-voting and a non-electable category.

past members who have moved out-of-state but want to stay informed on the activities of MEDC. This is a non-voting and non-electable category.

individuals pursuing a course of higher education leading to a position in the field of economic development. This is a non-voting and non-electable category.

MEDC invoices members annually at the beginning of its fiscal year on July 1. New members joining after June 1 may compute their dues to the nearest fiscal year quarter at the time of application.

If your organization has a statewide focus, you will fall in the largest population category.

NOTE:  Dues paid to MEDC are not deductible as charitable contributions but may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. A portion of dues, however, is not deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense to the extent that the MEDC engages in industry lobbying. The non deductible portion of dues for 2014-2015 is estimated to be 65%.
